  1. I'm just a few days away from getting to finally eat food, 🙌. So what do y'all recommend? I know I can have scrambled eggs, can tuna, can chicken and refried beans. I'm so over this liquid diet and I'm ready to plan a meal lol. Also, right now I can drink my weight in liquids. Will eating be different? Will I get fuller faster? I'm just trying to get a idea of how I'm might feel after actually eating.

    Protein HELP

    Ok. I had my 4 week check up (via phone call). I told my surgeon that I didn't feel like my weight loss was going good. He agreed that it's not as good as it should be. After talking with him. I realize I'm not getting in my Protein. I've been so focused on eating 4oz of protein. I wasn't thinking of getting 60g of protein a day 🤦‍♀️ What do y'all eat to get the full amount in? The shakes are making me nauseous now. I'm still on soft foods. So stuff like 2 eggs only give me 12g of protein. 4oz Refried Beans only give me 6g. Im not sure how to get the protein in with out over eating. This is so confusing to me. Im a picky eater so this makes it even harder for me.

    Do any of y'all wear the patches? I've been looking into the patch aid brand. Just wondering if your blood work looked good with just wearing the patches. I can't remember to take my vitamins by mouth. So I was hoping these actually worked.

    Im so disappointed in myself. I have been craving foods that aren't good for you. Up until the last couple of days. I have been able to fight it off. But today I have eaten all day long. My food choices are not as bad as they were before WLS (most everything has Protein in it). but I can't believe I have eaten so much. Today I've eaten : breakfast: Greek yogurt w/ protein granola. Snacks all day 🤦‍♀️ (unknown amounts) I've gone back several times for a handful of granola and bbq Pork rinds lunch 4oz of honey baked ham and 2oz of mashed potatoes supper Greek yogurt w/ protein granola I never got any restriction feeling but I am so miserable now! I know tomorrow is a new day but I worry I've gotten the taste of junk and I'll release to my old ways

    lol. I definitely felt like I ate the whole house yesterday 🤦‍♀️ One good thing I didn't gain any weight over night. 😀yay

    Over eating

    I've been weighing everything that doesn't come prepackaged with a label. I do get restrictions but not today. So I usually know when to stop. Or I get the hiccups 🤷🏼‍♀️ I've been sticking to my plan except for today and some yesterday. I haven't lost much but I am losing inches. Oh im 6 weeks post op

    Self pay- insurance doesn’t cover WLS

    I was self pay. I live in KY but had my surgery in TN. (Only a hour and 45 mins drive) I had zero problems. My plan even covered complications up to $25000 for 90 days after surgery.
  9. I know y'all are probably tired if seeing my post lol. But I'm struggling at losing weight. It's been 5 weeks since my surgery and I haven't lost anything in 3 weeks. My dr said it's sluggish. I'm going to call my nutritionist but not sure how much help she will be. I'm not cheating at all. I'm completely on the plan. I thought maybe it was my protein. (Not getting enough). But even with getting 60g or more. I still haven't lost. What's going on with me 😭😭😭. I'm still under 600 calories. Geez how can I not be losing on eating 600 calories or less. I need to get this figured out.

    Yes they are too sweet. I've tried it with coffee but right now I don't drink a lot of coffee. I guess I just don't enjoy it anymore 🤷🏼‍♀️

    I'm struggling losing weight

    I didn't lose before surgery. So my total weight loss has been 17lbs. I'm like you. Gain a pound then lose it. I've never been an over eater. But I thought with me not eating a lot of carbs and no sugar. I would lose more then I have so far. It's just so frustrating.

    I plan on start that tomorrow morning. I tried a shake again this morning and again it made me nauseous. So, I'm going to try the protein powder in my yogurt.

    On my plan I can't have beef or pork for a year🥺. I'll start adding tuna in to my diet more. It's not something I love because I'm don't like fish. (Very picky eater)

    Not sure if I should go through with it

    I had my surgery 1 month ago today. I almost canceled. I was self pay and it was a lot of money that I didn't want to spend. When I went to my preop my sugar was 250. My body let me know it was tired and that It needed the surgery. I've only lost 16lbs but my sugar is slowly going down and my blood pressure is normal. My BMI is on the lower end 35 before surgery. So I won't lose a whole lot fast. For me I was in a lot of pain after surgery. And I usually have a high tolerance for pain. I couldn't get comfortable to rest. Getting up and down out of the hospital bed was awful. But once I got home, I could rest in my recliner and that's where I slept for a few days. Some don't have pain after surgery but some do. They say it's from gas pain. But my surgeon thinks mine was from my hernia repair. Everyone is different and everyones victories will be different. But most of us only have one regret. We wish we had done it earlier!
  22. Great job. You Are doing better then me. I'm almost 4 weeks out and I've lost only 15 lbs. I've been at a stall for almost 2 weeks.

    Blah...my first stall...

    I've not lost any more weight since my first weight in at my drs on May 5th. It's hard to knowing most people lost their weight in the first few months after surgery. And here I am at a stall this soon. It's crazy how our bodies are so different to the surgery.

    Oh my gosh. I thought I might be the only one that stalled at 2 week. How long before you started losing again?
  25. I'm 3 weeks out and I feel like I could eat a lot more then most at my stage. I never really feel full. I do get restrictions/pain when eating soft foods. But I can drink liquids with no problem at all. I've been wondering if my stomach is a little larger then some right after surgery. I don't feel like my hungry hormone weren't removed. All I can do is measure out my food. And when my stomach starts growling and I get the hunger pains. I just drink more water. Ive only lost 13th in almost 3 weeks. I also walk about 45 minutes to an hour. 3 miles and burn over 300 calories 5 days a week. I really was hoping to have a bigger weight loss by now.
