Oh I'm so sorry you're going through this, Clare. Glad you've got it all straightened out and are on the road to recovery. That must have been pretty scary for you.

Well I never got to the part where I had to drink half and half. 😅 My gallbladder didn’t show up on the HIDA scan after three hours which the technician said meant something is blocked and they will probably take it out.

Just waiting to get home now and call my surgeon.

I have gallbladder removal surgery scheduled for February 3rd. He said that I should feel a lot better a couple weeks after it is out. He thinks it's been making me feel bad for weeks and that may be what has been slowing down my ability to drink and eat enough.

The physician's assistant said I would be back to work in 3-5 days (I work from home). Hopefully I recover quickly because after 5 weeks of leave, I feel like it puts me in a bad spot at work to have to have another surgery again so soon.

I’m getting my gallbladder removed tomorrow. Here’s hoping that I feel a lot better afterwards. It’s been difficult to eat lately because of the pain.

Surgery went well, so much easier to recover from than my DS. I was immediately able to eat after waking up, they gave me crackers which was a fun treat since I normally don't eat them. No pain, no cramping, no nausea! 🎉

I feel much better and eating is less stressful now that I don't feel sick after one bite but have to keep eating. This should help a ton with telling when I'm full.

My surgeon "reused" one of my existing incisions from the DS so instead of 5 new scars, I only have 4 "new" ones. 😅

I feel great! It’s a relief to be able to eat and feel the new signals from my sleeve instead of feeling off constantly. Finally starting to figure out hungry vs full.

I still can’t eat enough to get 80g of Protein a day but I was able to drink an entire 8oz shake for the first time postop. Progress!

How have you been doing? I had to have my gallbladder out when I was 4 1/2 months pregnant with my son. I had severe pancreatitis and had to have 3 days of IV pain meds and antibiotics before I could even have the surgery. I had a horrible attach with throwing up (throat felt like it was on fire and like I was throwing up acid). My gallbladder was so bad it was about to burst when they did the ultrasound and saw it. They freaked out and admitted me right away. I'm so glad you got that horrible organ out (they're terrible lol). I hope you're doing well now.

I am feeling well! My liver function tests are still way too high, AST ALT are like 380 and 160. I had a MRI of my liver to check for blockages and they didn’t find any. So the plan is to wait and hope they go down.

surgeon said that just weight loss wouldn’t make it go this high so we don’t know what caused it.

Here's a few sites I found that can explain what all that means (you may already know all this, but for anyone who sees your post and doesn't know, maybe this will help)

AST: https://www.mrlabtest.com/high-ast-blood.htm

ALT: https://www.yhktherapy.com/en/manage-your-liver/detail/160/what-does-elevated-alt-level-means-and-when-is-treatment-needed

5 liver test meanings: https://www.agelessforever.net/anti-aging-news-blog/got-elevated-liver-enzymes-here-s-how-to-interpret-your-liver-function-tests

It has hit me today, as I sit in my chair at work that I don't have my belly sticking out to where it would hit the desk. Oh and I can cross my legs more comfortably. It amazes me just how much I have loss in inches vs actual pounds, I have lost 24 lbs all together. But I believe in inches all over about 3 inches. I am noticing more energy and have pep to my step. My skin is a lot clearer. My watch band is shorter by 3 notches. the little things are what I am noticing. When I bend over I don't feel out of breath or I am going to fall over ( weeble wobble).
I am having a hard time with my sweet tooth, it is very hard to not want to get some ice cream or chocolate. Candy I can do without. I have no craving really for that, just chocolate and ice cream. I have gone as far as taking Popsicle and putting them in my mixer with almond milk and making like ice cream with that/ sometimes I have added un-flavored protein powder.
I feel better everyday. The energy is great to have with having younger kids and being able to have the energy to keep up. 😃

If anyone has any advice on how to make your stomach feel better after you eat something you shouldn't have or at too fast, I would GREATLY appreciate it!! It's painful on both sides of my abdomen (like to the point I'm doubled over and using a hot water bottle in addition to medicine) and I'm really nauseous (the thought or smell of food is 🤢).
