Hello! Thought I would start out this group as I have a surgery date for Jan 4, 2022!! I'm so excited and a bit anxious for the pre-op diet - I will be starting it while on vacation - but what a great way to say Hello to the New Year!!

Hi buddy! My surgery date is 1/11! I’m so excited. I’ve been browsing different liquid diet kits today because that’s the part that makes me most nervous also. Still so excited though!

  • Hi all, new here. Just had surgery on 1/5 and looking for some connections/support! ?

Anyone else have no energy one the second week of liquid diets???

I had very little energy last week, my gastric bypass was 4th January. I have a little more energy this week but have awful hives which are making me miserable and seem to keep getting reflux which is also making me grumpy. Trying to figure out this purée diet now. Hope your energy picks up soon x

Anyone drink decaffeinated coffee on their pre op diet?

Hey!! I’m 11 days post op. Pre op I was advised no coffee but it could be different per surgeon. I drink Decaf coffee and add my Protein Shake to it to make it like a latte. The morning after my surgery while in the hospital they brought me decaf coffee which was nice.

Everything is going well I am 12lbs down from surgery and healing well. Hope everything goes well for you!!
Congrats on the weight loss!! Such an exciting adventure!

Finally got my new surgery for it being postponed because my doctor had Covid. From Jan 18rh to Feb 7th. So I am very happy they didn’t push it out to March like I know some of the reschedules had to.

My surgery date is 1/31 and I’m ready :) Hoping I don’t get canceled due to Covid surge.

Hello everyone. I am postop day four from surgery. How is everyone doing so far that has her surgery? How are y’all progressing or supposed to progress through the various consistency phases with your diet?

Howdy, all, I had the gastric sleeve surgery on 1/13/22 so I am 9 days post-op. For the past two days, I have been unbelievably exhausted, fatigued, and achy. I feel like it is getting worse. Today I have been crying almost non-stop. Not because of pain just emotional fatigue I guess. (Kept crying while watching the movie "Air Force One". It is not a sad movie. I am hardly taking in fluids, doing about 8 ounces every hour. Alternating between water and Premier Protein Clear. Still, no food but can sip broth. I was walking but no longer as it is too tiring and I feel like I will fall. I have not called the Doctor as it is the weekend and the on-call will I'm sure would basically tell me if I am concerned then I should go to the ER. I am thinking maybe I should at least they will probably give me an IV for fluids for dehydration if that's the case. A year ago I had a very bad case of COVID-19, thankfully recovered (still can't smell anything) and since then I have had both VAX shots and the booster. I mention that because the exhaustion is reminiscent of that. Any suggestions? Please help. Thank you!

Hello all! My surgery is scheduled 1/24/22! I’m super excited about this new journey. I pray everyone has a complication free surgery! Here’s to a healthier you in 2022!
