  • Popular Post

Hello! Thought I would start out this group as I have a surgery date for Jan 4, 2022!! I'm so excited and a bit anxious for the pre-op diet - I will be starting it while on vacation - but what a great way to say Hello to the New Year!!

Hi buddy! My surgery date is 1/11! I’m so excited. I’ve been browsing different liquid diet kits today because that’s the part that makes me most nervous also. Still so excited though!

  • Hi all, new here. Just had surgery on 1/5 and looking for some connections/support! ?

Definitely in pain, moving around ok though. Had moments of questioning why I did this to myself earlier but I know I made the right choice!

I just went for my pre-op appointment!!! Waiting for a surgery date!!! I am excited and scared

I had my surgery on Jan 4th as well. Had the sleeve like 6 years ago, but gained a lot of weight back. All is going well so far. I see my doctor this Thursday for follow up and hopefully I go on soft foods!
Today is the day, after having my surgery pushed back due to Covid staffing shortages from 12/27, till today 1/10 I am excited but so very nervous. This being my first surgery ever it’s a little nerve wracking. Wish me luck!!

My date is 1/25/2022, I start the preop Milk diet tomorrow for the next 2 weeks until the big day, I have a preop nutrition class on 1/17 and then my preop appointment 1/21...I am super nervous and excited. New Year new Me!

Hi! My surgery was cancelled due to COVID hospitalizations. It has been rescheduled for March 8 now. How are you feeling? Any insight to share?!

Oh no! I’m glad it’s still on though!

Today is the first day that I’ve felt like myself, and I’m up doing laundry and things.

The biggest thing that I can say, and I know everyone says it, is STAY HYDRATED. I missed my hydration goal a few times and had to go get an IV to replies what I lost, and I didn’t realize how bad I felt till I was hydrated again. The slow sip sip sips were killing me, so I’m not chugging water, but I’m taking normal drinks and that seems to be working so much better for me.

EDIT: I don’t know about other’s, but the absolute worst pain for me, for about 4 days out was the CO2 gas stuck in my chest. It feels awful, but it will pass!
