Is anyone waiting for their insurance to approve them right now?

Recommended Posts

I have been jumping through hoops I feel like since November of last year to get this surgery approved and different requirements kept coming up. I'm with stay well medicaid by the way. Anyways all my information was submitted today to see I will get approved for an early June surgery. Is anyone else having a similar experience or is anyone waiting for approval now? If so how long did it take you to get to this stage and get approved?

Same here. I started at the end of January and it has literally been one thing after another, but they finally said my chart was complete, now I am waiting again for the bariatric team to "read over" my record to make sure it is ready to be sent to insurance. That was two weeks ago. So, still waiting. I have State of Florida BCBS.

Good luck to you. It is definitely a process!

My consult was December 17, 2020. I have completed my pre op requirements and found out TODAY my insurance approved the surgery. Now waiting on a call from the scheduling department [emoji2] Hang in there!

I am waiting for my insurance to kick in, as here in australia is different then america. i need to have had private health insurance for 12 months before i can get the surgery and thats it. so i am currently waiting out that 12 months period i am at 10 months now and just in the process of getting it started. i dont have these pre-requirements like what i am reading on the fourms. hopefully, if all the tests are good in 2 months ill be having it. been a long time waiting for it but been making changes in eating. i say to myself little steps i have removed drinking soft drink from everyday multiple litres to iced tea with less then 50 calories per 2 litres. and eating more better food and not junk food

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
