Good morning!

Almost 7 am here and I should probably finish up packing, as I have to leave in one hour. Today is the day! 😀

I had hi Protein yogurt and ordered some egg drop Soup and strained it real good and mixed in unflavored Protein. Also depending on my Protein Shakes. I has surgery the 16th

I'm not allowed to have anything other than Protein Shakes, waters, Jello and sugar free popsicles. The one thing I am surprised about (and I can't understand why I'm surprised) is how hungry I am! I'm on day 5 post-op and each day is better. I'm really looking forward to being healthy!

I have my date for the 23rd. Went in for a pre-op screening. Have to admit - I'm pretty nervous. Being at the hospital made it super real. I've been nervous about "going under the knife" the whole time.

I've been doing the liquid diet, and the past couple of days have been rough with the weakness. I definitely feel like I'm not getting enough calories. (It's after 5pm and I've had 280).

I'm pretty worried about how this will affect my job performance. I need my mind functioning at 100% and right now I feel like I'm at 40%. Also, the new routine will be very distracting and I need long periods of focus.

Any thoughts?

The surgery went fine, but the gases in the stomach from the surgery is almost killing me😳. And I feel like my mind jar starting right catch up with me, cause I keep thinking ”what have I done?!”…

Post op from June 9th - I know why I haven't lost any weight! Granted, it takes time to heal, and not everyone loses weight for the first few weeks according to my surgeon. He told me I should be trying to get 800-1000 calories a day and I've been at 500. So, I'm going to try to up my calories and I'll let ya'll know if I start to see a difference! ❤️

Checking in from my 6/11 surgery. After about 10 days off from work I’m headed back for at least partial days. I still get pretty wiped at the end of the day, so, I’m happy I’m still working from home and don’t have to worry about a commute. Recovery has been going well. I finally have my calories up around 600. Never thought it would be so hard to figure out how to consume that few calories. They want me to aim for 600-800 for the first two months. I’m on liquids until 7/12, so, my days consist of a couple shakes, a greek yogurt with Protein Powder split across two Snacks and 6 ozs of campbells healthy request cream of chicken. Water hasn’t been an issue and I’ve been getting out for a slow walk daily.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
