  1. Had the surgery last week. It went well. Recovery is tough, but I'm following the rules to the letter. The team at Memorial has been great.
  2. I've been experiencing something interesting - wondering if anyone else had the same thing. While doing the liquid diet I've had mental cravings, but never physical ones. I've had the idea that I want to go to my favorite place and get my favorite dish, but when I think about actually eating the food, the desire goes away. But it's also difficult to get the desire out of my head. I don't know exactly how to explain it other than that. Anyone felt something similar?
  3. I have my date for the 23rd. Went in for a pre-op screening. Have to admit - I'm pretty nervous. Being at the hospital made it super real. I've been nervous about "going under the knife" the whole time. I've been doing the liquid diet, and the past couple of days have been rough with the weakness. I definitely feel like I'm not getting enough calories. (It's after 5pm and I've had 280). I'm pretty worried about how this will affect my job performance. I need my mind functioning at 100% and right now I feel like I'm at 40%. Also, the new routine will be very distracting and I need long periods of focus. Any thoughts?
  4. I'm in Broward. About to have a surgery on Wednesday. Memorial. Pretty nervous.
