I was wearing a size 26 jeans before my surgery but even my size 24 were so loose I had to roll them to keep them on lately. Yesterday I decided to buy a pair of size 20, thinking even if they didn't fit now, they'll fit in a few weeks. Got home and tried them on, they fit with no problem! I haven't been a size 20 in 15 years, I'm absolutely floored.

I also went to the ballet with my family yesterday and not only did I wear a dress from my engagement photoshoot I haven't worn since 2015, but I actually had room instead of being crammed into the tiny theater seats!

That's such a good feeling!! Congratulations!

I wore my 26's until they literally fell off me (at home thankfully and not in my class). Hubby grabbed 22's I had in my closet, and I was like, "Those are not going to fit me." Could've passed out when they did and now, I'm in 16's and I'm just waiting for someone to tell me it's a cruel joke and they changed the size on my pants. I don't have to lay down on the bed or suck in my stomach or anything... they just fit. I haven't been this small in 20+ years. It makes me wonder where I'll be when I hit my goal in 40-50 pounds and then again after my mommy makeover. I have an "apron" I can't wait to lose.

So this is kinda neat... the first picture is my old size and the skirts available, and the second pic is my current size with the same skirts and what is available... it goes from 1 skirt to all of them. Weeeee!20230101_131523.jpg 20230101_131532.jpg

Just went on a walk. 2 laps around my local park used to exhaust me. I did 2 laps, it started to rain so I went home. I'm now continuing my workout at home. I still have SO much energy!

You guys! I just realized a NSV that I have to share!!! This is something that I've been wanting to achieve - forever (not forever, but for a little over 7 years)...

The keyboard tray on my desk is at the same height as the arms of my chair. For as long as I've had this chair/desk combo (a little over 7 years), my tummy has stuck out farther than the arms of my chair. I could squish my keyboard tray in and touch the arms of my chair, but my tummy would be touching the tray.

Today - I noticed that my tummy isn't touching the keyboard tray, but the tray is up against the arms of my chair!!!! There's only about 1/4-inch of space, but it's there!

My second goal is hoping to be stable enough at goal in a year and have a Tummy Tuck 6 months later. I'm 10 wks post op and have about 100# to go. Am down #35 down since bypass. Glad to hear posts about post surgery.

You’ll get there before you know it! March will be two years post WLS for me. Just got my Tummy Tuck and thighplasty December 22nd. Post plastic surgery appointment tomorrow. Today I bought a short shirt to show off my belly when it’s healed. I’m probably too old to wear it, but excited I can and I’ll look good in it! Oh and even funnier… it’s a large… FROM THE KIDS department. I also bought a kids size 14 sweatsuit. So much cheaper now that I wear kids sizes rather than a 2x women’s!!!

I would go in there and tell them your old one got stolen...lol

I thought about it but I also like the double take I get when having my ID checked, That is a fun NSV in itself.

I went to Universal studios with my daughter this week, 3 days in the park and I kept up without any issues. Last year my knee would never allow that.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
