Recommended Posts

So my doc is scheduling me for my post op appointments and pre admin testing making this seem so real BUT I still haven’t received approval from insurance. So I can’t get excited because I’m so nervous I may be denied AGAIN! I mean this time I’m with a new insurance company but I’m still so nervous about!!!! It’s been 2 weeks with no approval and I just want to know so can prepare for the new me!!!! Doc doesn’t seem worried at all.

If it helps, I was confident I was going to be rejected right up until my Doc wished me luck after our pre-op talk and we began our separate trips into the OR.

I didn't get approval until 60 hours before my surgery. I was all scheduled and even paid my hospital co-pay and was on pins and needles waiting for the call.

My insurance company did a great job pre-approving me....but then my hospital mixed my information up with a different woman with the same name.

This very grim looking account administrator came into my room the day after my surgery and said she needed to discuss payment arrangements because "apparently my insurance rejected the claim, and we don't know how this happened, you were supposed to be preapproved"

By some stroke of luck, I happened to have my approval letter in my purse and got it out and showed it to her. She came back in half an hour and apologized profusely. Myself and the other woman with my name....our social security numbers were two digits off...8's, 3's and 0's (lookalike digits). It was a legitimate mistake....but man, did it have my heart racing for a minute!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
