Day 6 of Liquid Diet. Surgery on 2/23!!

Recommended Posts

Well today is day 6 of the liquid diet and I have to say after the first couple of days it hasn't been that bad. My pre op diet was liquid only. I could have strained Cream of whatever Soup. I didn't eat one of the SF popsicles until about day 4...WOW! Those are a game changer. I love those things! I have not had any kind of popsicle in over 30 years or more. On Monday I am going to drink Water and eat popsicles and Jello, I am over the broth. I am also having the lap band taken out that has been in there for 15 years or so and thankful to get rid of that thing. Anyway less than 48 hours until surgery. I have stocked up on everything I can think of. I got some dry mouth spary as I saw on YouTube a lady that said it was a life saver. Ready to roll and hopefully not be fat much longer. Thanks

You are doing great with your prep. Wishing you well with surgery and excited to hear how it goes for you. 😁

I am on day 5 of the pre-op liquid diet, and although I know the ultimate outcome is going to be well worth it, it is an absolute struggle at times! Surgery is 3/3/21. Wishing you well, on your way to the "New You."

Love the name! Wow 2 weeks pre op diet... that stinks! Oh well t least you will lose some weight. Here are a couple of things that helped me. Premier Protein(30 G) shake, add a scoop of unflavored whey Protein (18G) and a scoop of multi collagen protein (9 G) a half tub of Triple Zero yogart (8G) some crushed ice and blend. You have a 65 gram Protein Shake right there that is dang tasty! Also the SF popsicles re awesome. I will eat 3 or 4 night. I love them. I probably have not eaten a popsicle in 30 years...they really do the trick! Good luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
