Blessed with a sensitive stomach

Recommended Posts

Hiya. Surgery is happening tomorrow morning. Something hadn't previously considered, but has entered my mind is my now stomach issues. My current stomach is sensitive to say the least. Basically, I'm a puker, lol. Not bulimic by any means, but I have weak stomach. I get norovirus easily, Vitamins, antibiotics and narcotic pain relievers will generally cause me to vomit when taken on an empty stomach. I get nauseous easily. I can't even take NSAIDS because they cause severe gastritis (I'm not looking to be able to take them post-op, but just stating as an example). I've lived with it my entire life, but curious how VSG could change it. Has anyone had a sensitive stomach and it be reversed post-op? Stay the same? Worsen?

It is like going to Vegas, since they basically remove your stomach, you will not know what your going to get until your all healed up. Just remember when your healing to take your protonics, follow the Drs directions about what not to put into your new sleeve and treat it well so it heals well.

Before I had surgery I had a lot of tummy issues, I was a big time puker. I was nauseous a few times the first week and puked once after drinking orange juice in week three but even puking if different with the sleeve.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
