I really hate puking. Am I going to be puking all the time after this surgery?

They have a med for nausea that works great in case you get the pukes. I have only had them a couple times and both times it was when I did something that didnt agree with my tummy and it was over super quick. But they normally give you a med called Zofran after surgery to take home just in case.

I have thrown up about 4 times this past week, but I'm in a transition week (almost 3 weeks post op) and have been introducing new food. I can't say if it was the new food or the fact I got excited and maybe ate it too fast. But you will know rather quickly. It's not a nauseous feeling, it's pretty immediate stuffed feeling.

Nope. I only threw up once. It was Water, which sucked, but if you eat slow and take it easy on super strong flavors, you will be fine.

I didn't have any issues with throwing up after surgery. I am four months out now and do occasionally after eating too much or too fast, which is entirely under my control or I know the cause. I think the first time I threw out was when I tried to eat hamburger earlier than I was supposed to. Everyone is different, but the nice thing about the sleeve is that it gives you immediate feedback when you need to make a change in what you're doing. You'll learn to recognize that feeling and stop eating before it becomes a problem.

I felt some nausea a couple of times from over eating or taking Vitamins on an empty stomach, but so far 4 months in and I have yet to puke.

Almost two years out, and I ate gnocchi for the first time post surgery and vomited. It broke a long streak, but I am okay with not being able to handle Pasta, bread, or rice still.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
