Agreed!! A lot of the gas you feel post op isn't inside your stomach (therefore stomach meds can't get to it), but is rather from them pumping you up with gas to do the surgery.

The absolute best thing is to walk as much as you can. It really helps move that gas out!

The active ingredient in gas x is Simethicone. I would look for a product containing it.

Was wondering what medication they give in the hospital to help with the gas pain?
Everyone is talking about gas X but I live in the UK so. Was thinking chewable pepto bismol might help.
Thoughts?
