Yeah Lisa,

The insurance thing is a joke. My insurance said they would cover any complications including the flouro part of my fills but not the original band...OKAY??? What are we missing? I'm thinking about doing what Penni is doing and submitting it for reimbursement just to see what they say. Sorry your deeper in the hole... Oh, I lost my mind and bought my hubby a moped a few weeks ago. He loves it!!! Babies it all the time and finally something got him off of his computer games. I was able to buy it off of my best friend for $100 and we've put another $330 into it getting it all registered, tagged, titled, new tires and lastly full coverage insurance incase the nucklehead falls off. I'm just thrilled he likes it so much. Anyway keep up the healing girl! XOXO Teresa

Till the knucklehead falls off! GOOD ONE. Yes, I love my band, and I feel like I just went pee-pee in the big toilet for the first time... I just took my first shower in almost a year without a bandage. I'll stuff the thing with gauze in a few minutes, but it sure feels good running around without a diaper shoved in my belly for a few minutes!

I have zero restriction. Last night I ate my biggest meal ever. I need a fill!

Lisa- How much longer do they think it will take- before you are all healed up? Or is it a guessing game? I sure hope you'll be totally healed for Vegas & You can be the first one IN THE POOL!!!!

I think this hole is closing up at a pretty good speed. I used to pack it, then put gauze over the top. Now I'm just packing it and putting tape over the top since there's not much to pack any more. I think it will be closed by May 5, which will be my one year band anniversary. That's my plan.

Good Deal - that would work out well & with time to spare before the bash. By the way your face is looking very thin in your new avatar. I've got some great hair remover for that fuzz above your lip if you want to borrow some-lol ;0)

And the scar doesn't look like a mouth with teeth now. It looks like an eyeball with eyelashes. I'll take a picture tonight.

Penni, I was afraid to say anything cause I thought it would explode back open! Now that it's closed, I can't wait to get a port and have it opened up again! Woohoo, can we go one more year?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
