Weight Loss Totals

I have lost 10 kg since being banded - woohoo! I don't feel much restriction yet so it has been more about making good food choices, cutting out junk food and living with a growly tummy.

Great Job Nume. It is so good to watch people like yourself who have been active and posting since before they were banded succeeding on this band-journey. I am so happy for how much you have accomplished in such a short time.

Am I allowed to be jealous? No? OK, how about inspired to get my own head back into the game?

I was banded on Oct 1...I have only lost about 36# total.

I have not had a fill yet due to my mom being very ill and me not being able to get to my Dr.

I hope to start doing better!!!

Don't be so hard on yourself. You are losing OVER 1/2 pound per day! I'm not sure how that could warrant the need to "start doing better". You should be proud of what you have accomplished in so short a time. Even more so as you have not yet had your first fill. Many people find until they have had several fills they are losing weight almost solely on "will-power" as opposed to with the assistance of "band-power".

Either way I repeat you should be proud of your weightloss to date. Congratulations:clap2:

I have lost 30lbs since my surgery on 10-25-07 and have lost a total of 55lbs since I started this journey on 3-24-07.

Went for my first fill today - 3cc's in a 10cc band. Thought I would never be saying this but I'm happy to feel the restriction again. smile.gif

This entire process is just so awsome, good luck to everyone.

374lbs - 3-24-07 - Journey Begins

349lbs - 10-25-07 - Surgery Date

319lbs - 12-5-07 - First Fill (3cc's in a 10cc band)

I've only lost 12 pounds since my surgery on October 22nd. I had my first fill today!!!! I am so excited to get this going. He filled .8cc in a 4 cc band. I hope I have some restriction. I've had none yet. Wish me luck!!! I've been pretty down about how little I've lost. Bandster Hell is aptly named.

Well, one week until my 2 month bandiversary (banded Oct 15) and I had my second fill yesterday. Totals this far:

Shirt sizes lost = 4

pants sizes lost = 4

lbs lost = 61

Insulin = down about 90% from pre-surgery

All and all I'm very happy so far. I hit a plateau for the last 3 weeks or so where I lost 1-2 lbs/week but was still losing size very quickly. Now the weight is dropping again and I am hoping that this fill will deal with some of the hunger issues.

I have lost 22lbs since being banded on 11/09/07. I hit four weeks post-op yesterday. That includes the pre-diet, but somehow I gained 8 of my 9lbs back right after surgery (that was depressing to see-never step on the scale after surgery).

Anyway, I have stalled a little the last two weeks. This week I lost 1 lb and the week before 2 lbs. But it is positive movement of weight.

Now I just have to get positive movement of all of my weight. I am not exercising yet. I have no energy or stamina. Yeah, it is an excuse, I really need someone to kick me in the ass to get me moving. Okay everyone, get your s-kickers on and give me hell...

O yeah, some NSV, my pants were 24-26, I am now wearing some of my 22's.

My shirts were 3X's and tight, I am able to wear some of my 2X's with comfort. And all of my 3X's are lose. I used to put a pillow under my shirts for a minute or two to stretch them out so they would not be so form fitting. Haven't had to do that in a while now.

My face looks really thin compared to the balloon face I had a year ago.

Last year at this time I weighed 308, I am 263 now. So things are moving...

I know it sounds twisted for me to feel jealous but who says I have to be rational over this whole weight loss path? My jealousy (all in good spirit mind you) is in the speed of your scale moving downwards. It all good and well to say the closer to goal you get the slower it moves but it is a whole different form of hell to actually live it. Even worse when you keep thinking who the *bleep* am I to be complaining about the scale not moving when I'm as far as I am. But I still do. All different levels of guilt. So many years of being messed up when it comes to food and dieting not sure I know how to stop the rollercoaster of emotions just yet. But I'll get there someday.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
