We are going to raffle off a gift card from wal mart for $100.00 I am going to ask our local wal mart to donate the gift card, if they wont, then I am going to try & find someone to sponsor it for us..last resort, I will buy it! hey guys! I am trying to come up with some good fundraising ideas for my animal rescue group. I am currently needing to raise money for a Persian that has a cyst right by its eye and needs a dental as well as basic medical. He is huge and so handsome!!! I am also trying to help out this little OLD chihuahua that was dropped off at the shelter(our shelter is a very high kill shelter) She is so sweet and doesnt deserve to die alone at the shelter. Anyway,,, So, I was thinking about raffling off either a digital camera or a gift card to wal mart... Which do yall think would do better? I am 33 and live in east Tx. I was banded in Oct of 07. I have lost 47#, and will go next week for my firt fill. I have 84# more to go!!!! Hope to keep in touch with you all

hello everyone. I live in East Tx. I was banded on Oct 1 07 by Dr. Aveves in Mexicali Mexico. I was self pay- and the staff, hospital and everyone there is AWSOME!!!!!!!!! I am happy to say that I reached my first mini-goal 3 days early(was set at Jan 1st) I have lost 47# since surgery!

Happy New Year!!! I have a few resolutions that I plan to 110% stand by this yr! * I plan to reach goal by this time next yr.!!! * I plan to do more fundraisers and getting more donations for my animal rescue group so that we can help more animals make it out of shelters..80% of the animals that go to shelters die there....I want to change that! * Focus on myself more, the more I lose the better I want to make myelf look!

I was banded oct 1 07. I reached my first mini goal today! I was so excited. I have lost a total of 47# since surgery. I have along way to go! But it felt damn good to make that goal!!!!

Animal Rescue I do animal rescue. I have been in rescue for about 7 yrs. The group I work with is great. We take dogs/cats from hig-kill shelters and some owner surrenders that would other wise be put to sleep. We have them completley vetted- Spayed/neutered, vaccinated etc, and they stay in our homes until they are adopted out the their forever home. I have seen some VERY terrible things in this line of "hobby" It is pretty much a ful time job with no pay...however no monetary amount could out weigh the joy of knowing that the pets we save are now in loving forever homes and not left alone to die in a shelter or worse. We are a small group so we cant pf course save them all and we are non profit so work on donation alone.. I have to admit that its a very expensive hobby....alot of our personal money goes into helping these babies and feeding them..but its worth it.

I am fairly new..I was just banded on Oct 1, 07, So I have a long way to go.. but...I have Hip bones!!!! Yep- I know!!!! I was laying down last night and I could actually feel my hip bones! I mean, dont get me wrong- There is still fat there too- that needs to go away! but they are actually there!!!! I thought that was pretty cool!

I have panic attacks also, but have had them for awhile- way before surgery. They are better now than in the past- I also have suffered from migraines since I was 15 yrs old. I have really bad ones too!!! They are brought on mostly from stress.. I havent had as many in the last 2 months. I am hoping that me losing weight will help. I have to admit though that when AI was in Mexico(I went alone) what a mistake! Not that the staff wasnt AWSOME! I was just a big baby!!!! Anyway, I had a major Panic attack when I got there- i was FREAKING OUT!!!!! Thank goodness Dr. Aceves and his staff were so wonderful to me even though they were probably thinking I was a crazy person!

I havent heard of him, I use Dr. Querry in Mt Pleasant. AWSOME lady!

Xmas is tough around here because of cousre as with most money is tight!! We buy only for the small kids, and not alot! Then for anyone that asks me what I want/need...I tell them.. I need you to make a donation to the Non- Profit Animal Rescue Group that I volunteer for.(Partnership For Pets) so that fewer animals have to die in shelters alone, because with their donations we are able to foster and get them the medical attention they need!!! We as a family do the same. We "sponsor" a pet that needs a foster home and medical done... Its a great feeling knowing those dogs/cats will not have to spend another holiday alone..just from a little bit here and there!! Anyway, its makes my holidays better!!!

I was banded on Oct 1...I have only lost about 36# total. I have not had a fill yet due to my mom being very ill and me not being able to get to my Dr. I hope to start doing better!!!
