If you were sent home with one, how long did you keep it on for? I haven't taken mine off yet and it's day 4. I'm getting real itchy under there, too. I also have been avoiding the shower, which I plan on taking today. How did you shower? Normal, just ignore the incisions?

I didn't have a waist binder with my WLS (I did have an abdominal binder with my plastic surgery, though). I just showered as normal. The surgical glue (on my incisions) after both surgeries eventually came off (without my help!) after about four weeks.

I wore mine for 3 days once I was discharged. That was when I took my first shower and after removing it and realizing there was no additional pain from not having it on, I figured I was in good enough shape to go without it. Trying removing it for that shower and see how things feel. You can always put it back on if you feel better with it on.

I had my surgery July 14th and my doctor told me that other than showering I was to wear it for two weeks straight 24/7. It is itchy, especially in this very hot weather we are having. But I do feel protected when it's on.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
