I’m 2 wks out from surgery (3/6) and have just started in mushy foods. I had two bites of scrambled eggs and I was completely full! 2 hours have passed and I’m still full to the point that I can’t even sip water... Is this normal? How long will this last? Definitely not getting my Water in right now....😩

I have no wisdom for you, @LeeLee Luv, but that is AWESOME that you're getting that "full" signal from your new pouch/sleeve. From what I've read from others on these boards, people don't always get that signal and wind up getting ill because they didn't know to stop. I would definitely keep a log of this occurrence and see if it happens the next time you try mushy food.

All the best! ((HUGS))

I’ve been on mushy foods for about a week and had my surgery on 3/3. At first, I couldn’t feel when I got full so I overate and it sucked! That’s awesome you can already feel it! Now I can eat about 1 and half scrambled eggs and feel full for a while.

I know! I love it! We’re so used to cleaning the plate. I’ve been using little bowls and little plates.

It's such a weird feeling, I don't feel full as much as I feel like I couldn't physically take another bite. Totally different feeling to when I'd stuff myself with food to the point of nausea and vomiting. But a much better feeling. I think it must be like the feeling a person with a heathy relationship with food must feel when they put their fork down. I'm amazed that I sit down to my tiny bowl of food, take 6 bites, and I'm done. And I'm close to 6 months out!

I went through a similar experience. I had my surgery January 7th and I’m just now starting to recognize hunger. The first month or so I had to make myself take 1-2 sips or bites of something every couple of hours. Headaches and shaky hands were the main signal letting me know my body needed nourishment. Now I’m averaging 6-10 bites and I’m full for hours. Focusing on Protein has helped immensely.

Hey Cammy! How many oz are you eating in one sitting now? Today I ate 4oz of baked Beans and I'm still in a stall. Just wondering if I'm eating too much and since we're basically sleeve twins figured I'd ask you.

It is so important to get that Water in my friend. The food part will come and its so hard to want to eat more than two bites and not be able to. Its for sure a mind thing. Worry about hydration at this point food will come your body will tell you but the water is so important in any form broth, Popsicle anything with Fluid

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
