5 Days before surgery (in Turkey)

Recommended Posts

Hi to everyone - never been part of a forum. American living in Brussels, and have found that much, good Medical Tourism, for my type of surgery, in Turkey. Surgery scheduled for Staurday, 11 January 2020. Seeking any last-minute advice, particularly best dietary advice that may have helped others, in the days before surgery. Doing mostly Atkins shakes, and Soups. FYI - total cost of surgery and seven days in Turkey (US$4,900). Surgeon has done over 700 gastric bypass surgeries.

it is a tool and only a tool you need to get the whole workshop in order - do a search here on food plans tons of them here -

Advice: Get moving as fast as you can and do not move thru the food phases to fast, Take your time let you body heal and decide when you are ready for the next phase. The food is simple its the shakes and Vitamins that are a key to get balanced. This site has all the information you need and a ton of us to support and answer questions

Thanks AJ - looks like you have achieved a lot. Your advice is well taken. I think the moral support is mostly what I need, as all of this is new (except for the longstanding frustration over multiple failed diets).

How was your experience getting bariatric surgery in Turkey? Who was your Dr and what procedure did you have?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
