The main thing that might cause a problem is overdoing the artificial sweeteners - some will experience different forms of GI distress from certain ones (which can differ between individuals.)

Thank you Rick. Didn’t think of that . Would you have to have an excessive amount ?

I know this wasn't directed at me, but some people can't even tolerate a small amount of artificial sweeteners. And others can tolerate a little but not a lot.

I didn't think of this, either, because artificial sweeteners don't bother me at all. But they do give some people GI distress - especially sweeteners whose names end it -itol (like xylitol)

Thank you so much Catwoman .Artificial sweeteners have never affected me before - At least I don’t remember them having done , but I have to say , Im not a fan of them , and try to look for ‘safe’ ones , but are any. of them? Im almost afraid to put anything in my mouth after being so ill before and over Christmas, and have no appetite whatsoever, but I know I need to eat somehow . I’m trying find things that will tempt me and have a bit of nutritional value. Not easy !

Sorbital is found in a lot of sugar free stuff can cause diarrhea. This is not good when your working so hard to get the fluids in. Make your own with Protein Water and theres lots of ice cream recipes with Protein premier drinks to make.

Didn’t know about Sorbital always , thank you 🙂 so we can make ice cream that we can have ?? !! 😀

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
