Very upsetting # on the scale this morning CW 174.8. I know I messed up 1 day but a 4.5 lb gain seems not right. Especially since I didn't lose weight the week before #disappointed

It's not REAL weight gain. It's impossible to gain 4.5 lbs in real fat in one day...you'd have to take in an extra 15,000+ calories to gain 4.5 lbs.

Likely just Water or poop retention. Try not to let this annoying scale fluctuation bring you down and turn to food...keep doing awesomely, K? ❤️

Has anyone here had the fast food restaurant, “Raising Caines”? One was just built 6 blocks from my house so of course my curiosity is peaked. My son tried it and said it is really good. I checked their menu and it is crazy unhealthy, seriously not one healthy choice.

I think I’m about to plan my entire day around 2 chicken fingers and Cole slaw.

Never heard of it but just looked up thier website. Looks yum...but then agian, anything deep fried looks yum to me!

LOL, I have been known to plan for indulgences myself (dessert, liquor, I'm looking at you). 2 chicken fingers and a coleslaw is 380 cals, so it's doable...from their website:

.....Also, I LOVE Gilmore Girls (so does Mr. but he doesn't like to advertise it...shhhhh)

I did my homework, I’ve been debating about trying it for awhile now. I’ve already put those items in MFP for today’s lunch.< br />

My 21 year old son likes Gilmore Girls too although he pretends he just watches it to hangout with me.

Ah, I just realized the original post was from you @Cheeseburgh! I thought it was posted by @chayarg..lol.

You've been in maintenance for a while now AND are not actively trying to lose weight, right? So yeah, I'd think it's totally doable, right? (Also it's awesome you are still MFP-ing ❤️)

LOL yeah it is...i just didn't realize it was you behind the post...thought it was someone else who is doing a bit of maintenance "maintenance" so to speak... ;)

...But anyway, just so you know, I now am defrosting some chicken to make into chicken fingers for dinner tonite, thanks to my visit to the Raising Caines website, lol!

Though I haven't decided yet if I'm going to use almond flour or chicharron for the breading. While I prefer the crunch of the chicharron breading, I also really like eating it as is out of the bag and don't want to "waste" it!

Update: it was pretty (very) good. Not something I will have often but definitely decent fried chicken.

I scratched that itch.

So...you're good for how long? Now that the itch is scratched? LOL. Was it worth the swallow and MASA? (morning after scale angst) It's my rating system for how "worthy" is the choice? LOL. Can it withstand the dysphoria I will experience the next morning standing on the scale and seeing it potentially 1-4lbs higher. :D :(

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
