I was just wondering if anyone has taken an appetite suppressant during their clear liquid faze before surgery? If so, what kind? I have to do a clear liquid faze for one week. No protein shakes are allowed.

I just wonder if you aren't misunderstanding the instructions perhaps? They can be confusing. Maybe they mean 1 week of protein drinks and 2 days of clear liquids before the surgery?

I have the same doctor as Grommie and she is right. I had to do 10 days of pure liquid diet and no protein. It is hard but i am on day 8 now and i am not hungry at all and can handle watching my kids eat and even cook for them. That was the biggest challenge as I always would "test" the food before i would serve it. I have lost 20 lbs in the last 8 days.

I am on this crazy diet for just one week. Every surgeon has their routine. Good luck!

Never has calling it 'Misery' been so appropriate. I thought my 1 day clear liquids diet was tough and I was still allowed protein water!
