skinny shamed!

Happened again this weekend when I went to visit my grandmother with my mother. I don't think my grandmother realizes that the surgery is 'permanent' because she asked when my diet is over and if I wanted to lose more weight. I said yes, and she said that "I was looking too thin and no one likes that". In front of my mom, who basically said the same thing the other week. WTFFF. She used to tell my mom I was fat and "should do something about it" behind my back. Now I am too thin (again, not as thin as I was just 9 years ago when everyone said I looked healthy). Literally f**k everyone and their opinions. lol.

Sorry this is happening.
Normally I would say to stay away from the negativity, but family is tough to avoid at times

I know what you mean about how weird it is to be told you’re now too thin when you’re not even as thin as you’ve been in your life.

My best advice is to ignore the comments as much as you can and be happy that you’ve made such positive movement in your life.
Eventually this won’t be so new for your family and once they get over the shock of seeing the “new you” the comments will stop

I think part of it may also be where we lose weight. I know I had chubby cheeks and after only losing 20 pounds my face changed a lot. It’s also someone seeing you change so much in a short period of time. Friends I hadn’t seen in months noticed of course but I didn’t get as many comments compared to people I see more often.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
