OMG Its almost time

Recommended Posts

I started my clear liquid diet this morning. Finally having to start the diet is really making it set in that I have surgery on Monday!

This whole journey started with my PCM sending a referral to the surgeon in late Feb. Now suddenly here I am. I'm so excited and so nervous all at the same time. I'm mostly nervous because I am having my surgery while my hubby is still deployed. Timing wise with my daughters gymnastics meet schedule this is just when it needed to be. Now rather than in Jan or Feb.

My mom will be staying with me but, she is legally blind so it should be interesting (my dad will be transportation). My daughter will be staying at a team-mates house for about a week so her practice schedule isn't interrupted since her first meet is on the 7th. I even dropped off my fur baby this morning at the kennel just because he is 15 and I'm not sure he could get right care at home. All of these preparations are just slamming into me like OMG. I can't remember how much Protein. I can't remember all the Vitamins I can't remember jack so I'm searching through all of my documents to remember.

Anyone else feeling so all over the place like I am right now?

Hey lady! I feel & join you in your EXCITEMENT! I have a conference call with my dietitian on Monday (she wants to see my journal and help me with my first stage of the pre-op diet). I meet my supervisor and a few co-workers on Wednesday to go over my 3 week backup plan. Not telling them what my surgery is - don't need any judgment from work : ( Started all my Vitamins a month in a half ago so that's down packed now. Just a little nervous from reading the posts of the sleevers who crossed over in the last two-three weeks regarding the gas pain : ( NEVERTHELESS - WE WILL BE VICTORIOUS! What time is your surgery Monday? Will definitely lift you up in prayer and know your surgery will be a total success! This time next year we all will be posting AMAZING transformation photos!!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
