DON'T GET DISCOURAGED! my hubby has been going through the motions since Oct 2018 and finally he has a surgery date 11 months later after countless of those needed specialists sign-offs, A1C issues, and an unrelated crappy prostate diagnosis... he's been through a LOT of BS to get to this point so stick with it and stay positive!
  20. hi - newbie here.... of course we will ask his doctor at an upcoming appointment but wondering why i don't see a thread on this topic.... my hubby is diabetic and will start his 2 week pre-op diet soon with protein shakes and broth - which means no-carbs but his meds work based on him having carbs. i'm hoping they just take him off his meds once the liquid diet starts but his A1C will be tested a week prior to make sure it is in the 7 range. any experience with this is appreciated. i'm also interested if anyone was able to immediately stop diabetes meds after surgery. thanks.
