📣CONGRATS on making it to your goal📣

You fought very hard to get there. Feel any different/difference?

Oh and...*ahem* it's clothing alter/tailor time 😂

You know? I actually do feel different! The 5lbs between 135 and 130 are a huge difference to me. I can tell very much in the way all my shorts and pants fit. And I feel best down around the 130mark.

I also feel like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders--like vindication? Victory, maybe? For the first time in my life, I've made a weight loss targeted goal and didn't stop short of the goal line cuz things got too hard. Or were unattainable. Cuz this isn't like I'm saying, "Oh my goal is 110lbs."

At 130lbs I'm almost smack in the middle of normal. I'm still just a tad over normal. Middle would be the double top secret BDG which I'm not actively pursuing but as @ms.sss thinks that I might still lose a couple more as I'm trying to navigate the ropes of maintenance--I certainly would embrace! :D

Yes, and fershure I need new pants or serious alteration! Wanna come live with us in Texas a few weeks? I have a sewing machine but I lack the abilitay to learn to use it. LOL!

Texas is just too hot for me 😂

Did you remain low calorie to get to #3 goal or raise your calories higher and got there anyway? Any clue on your new maintenance caloric intake?

Where are you packing your extra skin?

Thanks, but trust me its there, its mostly above my belly button (but putting my arm up pulls it up and stretches it so its less noticeable) in upper arms, and my saggy butt.

I will say though that the extra skin looks less like rolls now and more like wrinkled fabric...lol.

I'm super curious if exercise would make a difference

Yep, me too.

I've been forcing myself to do butt exercises, but I. HATE. THEM.

(So far I see no difference :( )

Did you have plastics surgey or do do a lot of exercises?

No plastics...yet. I have an arm lift scheduled for Dec (can't wait!).

As far as exercise goes, I'd say yeah, I do regular exercise. I do some sort of cardio every day for at minimum one hour (running, zumba, yoga, occasional lane swimming), also I do almost daily strength training on my arms, and do butt and core 2-3 times a week.

You are super lean right now. You may not be able to build muscle without eating at a calorie surplus, and given that we are all surgery patients that may not be possible or desirable.

I’m not saying butt exercises aren’t good to do anyway, just that getting big visible results may be difficult.

Yeah you are right...though there have been days in the past couple months where I definitely achieved a calorie surplus, they may not have been often enough (and the surplus calories were not of the good kind). And in all honesty, I probably don't do enough effective butt exercises anyway, I'm like mad when I'm doing them.

But yes, so long as my saggy butt jiggles in the wind (or I get butt implants), I'll keep doing these effing squats, leg lifts and butt-bridges. Can't hurt. But I won't be happy about it.

I’ll be honest.
I was the girl that was “born” naturally curvy and like most people, wasn’t satisfied with the way Mother Nature made me.
At the very first opportunity (breast cancer) I got my boobs radically reduced. Went from a 40G to 40B cup and didn’t regret for one second.
I’ve always envied the people who had the slim athletic builds so if my butt completely disappears (and it’s looking like it might) I’m never spending $$$$ to fix it.
I’ll pay for a facelift. I’ll pay for this dang cellulite on my thighs and legs to go. I’ll even pay for abdominal plastics, but unless I win the lottery I’m gonna live with a flat butt.

Not saying I won’t buy padded underwear for a specific outfit though if I need it.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
