The SECOND I got home from the hospital. Lol

Yeah..same here. I'm still showing a GAIN of 2 to 3 lbs vs. when I went into the hospital.

Let's see, my surgery was 7/25 and I was discharged 7/26. On PM of 7/26 I tried sipping my first 'post-surgery' Premier Protein shake and got 1/2 down. Outside of that the only thing I 'sipped' was Water so I was definitely under 200 calories on 7/26.

On 7/27, I was able to sip an entire Protein Shake over MANY, MANY hours. In the evening, I tried some broth/protein Soup. Was only able to sip 3 oz's of that. A few hours later, went to a new Premier shake and sipped down about 1/3. Maximum calories would be 300 and it was probably much less.

I think I may have husband hide the scale for a couple of days. When you know absolutely/with no doubt that your calories are definitely under 500 (& less than that, even), then it starts to trip me out when I step on scale and that stupid number hasn't moved away from the 2 lb gain I've been carrying since I returned home.

Still in some discomfort which is frustrating to me as I usually have a decent pain tolerance. I figure most of it is gas as my stomach is still distended and tight like a drum. Just how much nitrous did they use??

I am also getting headaches which I figure are related to the low # of calories I'm taking in.

Hopefully these issues will subside in the days to come.

So frustrated already. First a 9-day stall, now I'm 5 days into another one. Tuesday marks 4 weeks and I've lost a whopping 12lbs since surgery. My expectations weren't crazy, I really thought I'd be at the -20 mark by now....

I’m Day 2 after surgery. No pain, feel tired. Not hungry. Been sipping Water, Protein Shake, tea. Had BM this morning. Walked about 6k steps trying to worm my self up to 10k a day. Don’t know my weight loss yet.

I'm day 4 and doing pretty well. My belly is still sore, but I have a lot of high waisted lite compression underwear so I am wearing that and it seems to help with the belly movement that normally makes walking sore. I am getting my protein/ liquid goal. I am hungry though!!! The hunger feeling of an empty burning stomach that's saying FEED ME. I thought I'd be a lucky one and have the no hunger stage. I want solid food so bad, but I know I can't eat anything so I won't. My doctor said I can do purees next week and a few days before I see him he wants me to try something like tuna and see how I tolerate it. I can drink and swallow more then a sip and I can finish my whole Protein Drink in probably 10mins if I wanted. But I only drink half and then 30mins later drink another half. I'm sitting here wondering if they even did the operation lol. I'm going slow and steady though I don't want to overwhelm my stomach.
Omg I feel the same about me being able to drink a lot. I feel as if it's not normal for me to drink"so much"

Day 7 for me and I feel pretty good. My largest incision is still a little sore and the bottom of my ribs too. I'm getting my 64oz of liquids in. I started Purees like my surgeon told me to this week and it's going good. I've ate scrambled eggs, ricotta bake, egg drop Soup, tuna salad. All were tolerated and no pains. I have been losing about 1 or 2lbs a day. I've lost 13lbs in the week after my surgery and I'm a total of 21lbs down in these last 3wks which includes my preop diet. I'm happy with the progress so far... dreading the stalls tho lol.

Wow that’s remarkable!! Congratulations. I had my surgery last Friday July 26. I don’t have an issue drinking the liquids and walking, but I hate the Protein Shakes, can barely stomach one a day. Any suggestions how to get the Proteins in?

Hi! I had my surgery July 25th. I stayed in the hospital 4 nights. I’m just soooo tired. Anybody else? Also, I have no issue drinking! I’m worried I’m drinking too much!

My post surgery diet doesn't call for the Protein Shakes until week 2. I have Protein Drinks. I especially like Protein02. The grape is my favorite. It's available at my local Rite-Aid. Bone Broth also has Protein. My favorite is The chicken Bone broth by Kitchen Basics. It's available in my local supermarket.

No problem. My surgery was 3 days before yours, on 7/22. I'm having no problems & am especially happy about the fact that I'm not feeling hungry! I have ordered Protein Shakes from the BariatricPal Store. They have a large selection. I tried one (French Vanilla) before my surgery & found it quite tasty. You can order a sample pack that comes with 9 packets of different flavors. A friend of mine buys these & swears by the Cinnamon Swirl. They (BP) also has a YouTube channel where the products are reviewed, mostly by a former sleever.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
