Funny WL support story

Recommended Posts

I love watching shows like My 600 lbs Life since I started on my journey toward surgery. My husband does not watch these shows but he is typically in the room when I am watching.

He has been supportive of me. He cooks healthy, he makes healthy shopping lists, he looks for healthy recipes and gently and sweetly refuses when I want to cheat. After a recent office visit with my surgeon I thanked him for being so supportive. He replied with "Yeah! I do not want to be like those dead beats on My 600 lbs Life! I have to be a good and supportive husband! You can do this!".

...apparently he listens to the show while I watch.

Do you have any funny stories?

I clench my fists and want to pound Dr Now to a pulp. Told Tomkitten , " He' s an Old Man, that would not be very nice!" , pulled up his bio, He's only a little over a year younger than me! Does this make it a Fairer Fight? I would tell him to walk a few miles in my moccasins if they weren't so worn down! I think he is abrasive , snide and he would be my surgeon only on pain of Death, and Praise God, I have lost enough he never will be! I'm sure he would say 120+ pounds in 9 months was TOO SLOW, well guess what" Baby-cakes" it works for ME!

I'm glad your husband listened. I've never seen that show. My hubby has been super supportive.

And I think your Grady Tomcat is a treasure, you had just better keep him, they don't often make models that fine!👪

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
