Anyone else get sick drinking this?

Recommended Posts

The absolute worst. I'm on level 3 food eating now, but I haven't had much luck getting all my Proteins needed. So I quickly went for this shake because of the price. What a mistake! Diarrhea and nausea. I pinched my nose to keep it down. When I foolishly picked this up in a hurry, I didn't read the contents. Even after drinking the first one. Please stay away from this in my honest opinion. No good. [emoji90]

I think you meant to post a picture or link but it didn't go through. What was it?

some people become lactose intolerant after surgery (sometimes temporarily, sometimes permanently). Others can't tolerate artificial sweeteners, especially sugar alcohols (names of sugar alcohols end in "-ol", like xylitol). Maybe one/both of these??

Your post didn't mention the brand name or a photo of it or anything. I'm six months out and I'm still drinking GNC Lean shakes (premade) and loving them. Both chocolate and vanilla are great.

Yikes. Corn Syrup and sugar listed as ingredients #2 and #4... the high sugar content could definitely be to blame! I’d look around for some lower sugar choices. I personally prefer Premier Protein. I’ve also ordered the Syntrex nectar variety pack from the Bariatric Pal Store and they were pretty tasty IMO.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
