Hi everyone...prior to my wls my Dr warned me that I will have Hair loss during the first six months after surgery. Well...I didn't think it would be as bad as it's been.

I had my wls in January and March was the 1st time I began seeing major hair loss...to this date it's still pretty bad! I take my regular daily Vitamins but in addition to save my hair... I have been taking collagen, flax seed, and extra Protein in my morning shakes...plus I take hair & nails vitamins. Nothing seems to be helping...at least from the looks of it.

My question is...have any of you had this issue? What have you done to help the hair loss? Any suggestions on Shampoo and conditioner to help with hair regrowth or to prevent losing so much?

Thank you in advance for your kindness and helpfulness! Have a wonderful day!

I’m about 3.5 months out and I’m just starting to notice a thinning out.
My strategy thus far has been to be extremely low-maintenance with my hair.
I’ve cut back on the number of times I wash it weekly and haven’t gone in for my usual color job every 6 weeks.
I try to let it dry naturally and I rarely use a curling Iron on it anymore.
I’ve become a fan of extremely simple updos and ponytails.

I am going to get the color touched up next week because my grey is showing, but I’ve already discussed color options with my stylist and we’re going to go with something more in the ash blonde direction so I don’t have to touch it up again for another 3-4 months.

Hopefully by then, the loss will have stopped

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
