Yes, alcohol is okay, but be aware that you'll get drunker a lot quicker, so you'll want to limit the quantity. Also, remember that alcohol has calories, so watch it.

I recommend drinking already before you get on the boat so you'll know what to expect. I had one michelob ultra light 2 weeks ago, and I was pretty drunk.

Have fun and be safe.

I'm 9 mos post surgery and I've had alcohol on (several) occasion(s) [emoji57]
I haven't noticed that I get drunk any faster but maybe I just have a high tolerance. With my smaller stomach I can't take in as many ounces as before so I have to order doubles to get a similar effect. My drink of choice is vodka based, such as with cranberry juice or grapefruit juice. Ordering a double cuts down the amount of juice which reduces the high calories and carbs. Remember everyone's body is different. I agree with@med28thmed to test some drinking before the cruise. Enjoy!

I occasionally have vodka and I mix it with grape Crystal Light. It’s really good - and no sugar! I order vodka and Water (not soda water) and bring little Crystal Light packages with me to mix in. Good luck!!

Wonder how either vodka or tequila would be with that Wild strawberry from Crystal Light or the Equate equivalent? Maybe a more Bariatric MARGARITA? 🍷🍹

My wife gets drunk super fast and can drink as much as her "friends " can pour down her throat . She's now an alcoholic because of the surgery and after losing 160 pounds she's starting to gain weight because of the drinking .

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
