My bariatric dietician recommended Pre-Natal Vitamins before my surgery and that's what I have been taking except for the first 14 days Post-Surgery when they insisted I grind everything up. When you have dentures you can't really chew chewables, and they are Nasty Nasty! First time I tasted them all I could think of was giving my babies liquid vitamins and then having them barf all over me. Same evil odors to those things. So at 15 days, I said Frustr8 Old Girl, this IS NOT going to continue! Took a mouthful, okay baby mouthful of 2 ounces, of liquid, three my prenatal in and let it float down as I swallowed. Oh I got some amused states at Wally World going through the vitamins area. One of my ex-coworkers who is now in Over the Counter Pharmacy said " You're 72, do you have something to tell me?" No this was Roy the Dietician's idea, not mine! But until recently it did me good, then after the 3 month TPN through my PICC line I got deficient enough in Iron to require an iron INFUSION. Still wasn't as bad as It sounds, I was comfy, took 5-6 hours out of my day, but still it was what it was. Maybe it will hold me for a while, PCP thinks every 3 months, but he didn't order it, it was ordered by my surgeon,in Columbus and that's where I ended up going. So Spring Valley from W-Mart, about $9 a bottle, non-chewy, non-gummies, because 1st ingredient is Sugar or High Fructose Corn Syrup and that's a 👿😈Devil we all need to avoid!😎😨

I'm using GNC brand soft-chews of Vitamin D, Vitamin B12, Calcium, and a Multi=Vitamin. The surgeon said I can switch to pills now, but I'm kinda liking the soft chews so I think I'm going to stick with them.

I'm a horrible example to use right now, but once I get my labs balanced, I'm taking Bariatric Fusion co. mplete Multivitamin and mineral supplemen chewables for gastric bypass and sleeve patients. Read many, many reviews and these have excellent reviews. Many who had been getting bad labs, after being on these six months, were back in balance and stayed there. I think they taste good, have to chew 4 day. I have the mixed berry flavor. Just got Iron infusion, taking Vit B12 injections and Vit D. My hematologist said these are excellent Vitamins, made expressly for us. Most patients said they don't take anything else. I'm going to add some Biotin, as I am having hair issues. Also, committed to getting my labs done every six months and not letting it get out of hand again

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
