Any August 2019 people out there?

  • Popular Post

So the reason I choose 8-2-19

Was because I'm an out doors kinda guy.. I love my fishing and taking dips in the lake.. my son turns 2 in April and I want to enjoy his day.. If I do it early I feel like I would get dehydrated with this central California heat and get to miss out on a lot of fishing and swimming with my little oneScreenshot_20190428-164016.jpeg20190331_142640.jpeg

Very nervous and excited too.
My off said I can do a protein shake up til midnight, then clear liquids until 2 hours before check in. I have to sip on a full sugar Gatorade throughout the day today as well.

My surgeon only required the clear liquid diet 2 days before surgery. I’m supposed other people are doing it for so long. My surgery date is August 20th!

What does your post-op diet look like? How long will you be on clear liquids, then full liquids, etc?

My surgeon requires two weeks pre-op of the clear liquids and protein shakes, but only 2 days post-op will be clear liquids, then two weeks of full liquids, and then purées. I do think this is good prep for the post-op diet, plus I’ve already dropped 9 lbs, so it’s a good start :)

2 days of clear liquid pre op. Then 1day of clear liquid post op. Then full liquid diet. He said I should leave the hospital on a full liquid diet. Full liquid is usually for 2 weeks depending on how your doing.

We are officially in *my* (and others' of course) week! Very excited. Today is my last full day of work, tomorrow will be a half day. I am supposed to get a call tomorrow afternoon with the time for me to report to the hospital. I am very much over the liquid diet and I am ready to have the procedure done and really get on with it!

I bought a cookbook on Amazon for me to use for all of the various stages. I'm very excited to get my hands on it, dog ear and start planning for the rest of my life :)

Well that’s not too bad is it? :)

I'm here getting information for my mother but she's having hers on the 21st

Very nice of you to help your mom out I’m in MI with surgery same day.

Today is the day!!!! I’m here, all checked in and in my bed. I am super nervous and feel like I’m gonna puke ( although that may be due more to the nasty full sugar Gatorade they had me drink than my nerves)

I will check in on the flip side- good luck to everyone else going today- I know there were quite a few of us!!!
