Would it work to go back to the basics of eating 600-800 calories/day, getting in 60 g of Protein, 64 oz of Water? Maybe two week liquid diet to get started?

Hi all!! Ok here's what I'm thinking!! I really liked the LOSE IT APP... And want to also get back to the basics. Carbs and sweets have been my weakness!! So let's get back to that strictly Protein and the 4oz we're supposed to have... Or do you know of a Bariatric Eating app?? We could use that! What are your thoughts esskay77 and Gradycat!!

I'd just go back to basics (and not all the way back to liquids only - that would just set me up for a binge). Protein-forward and low carb. Eat (dense) Protein first, then non-starchy veggies, and then if you have room, a small serving of fruit or whole grains. I can eat up to 1700 calories a day and maintain my weight, so if I'm trying to lose, I'll drop down to below 1500. I'm not sure if I could do 800 anymore (I could while I was losing, but it would be tough now for more than a day or two)

Going down to such low calories scares me a bit but I do need to scale back.

I'm thinking of doing the official pouch re-set 5-day diet to see what happens. I did it once but it didn't seem to have too much value but maybe trying it again isn't so bad.

I did stop tracking my food so maybe I need to do that again, too.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
