Post Op Feeling Good And Lots of Gas

Recommended Posts

Post Op I am feeling good. So far so good dealing with a little pain and a lot of gas but the good news is I’m down 8lbs and about to go walk. Doctor said I can be back at the gym after a month. One day at a time but I’m going to get back to the real Baker very soon!!!

That's great news, glad to hear that you are off to successful start.

My surgery is exactly one month from today on April 29th.

Hey, you can go to the gym before your one month post-op visit when you feel up to it. You can't weight train of course, but you can certainly do cardio. You start of light--elliptical or treadmill. If you're up to it after a few days, you can take a spin class or increase the intensity on the elliptical or treadmill. Since it's cold where I live, walking outside wasn't an option when I had surgery in December 2018. The gym was my saving grace---pacing around the house just wasn't working for me. Congrats and you'll do great!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
