I'm so excited, I'm doing the happy dance! I just got a message from my pulmonologist's office letting me know the results of my in-home sleep study last week. I've had Obstructive Sleep Apnea for 3 years and using a CPAP. I had gastric sleeve surgery 12/11/18 and have lost 35 pounds since surgery/50 pounds overall and so I felt like maybe I no longer needed the CPAP. She said the results are that I NO LONGER NEED A CPAP! I don't have to sleep with that thing strapped to my face anymore! The weight loss did it!

Now this one deserves a happy dance too, but I didn't get an exciting phone call about it . . . I also no longer have GERD since my sleeve surgery 3.5 months ago! I've had GERD for 10+ years and had it pretty bad in the first couple of weeks after surgery, but now it's gone away completely. Woo-Hoo! Woot-Woot! 🙂

I'm down 43, but have a long way to go. I see on my machine that my apneas have gone way down. Maybe someday I will get off too?

Congrats!!

Congratulations!!!!! That is HUGE!!!

I know what a victory that must feel like for you as I have severe sleep apnea and it is one of the big, big reasons I am doing all this. I always use my machine faithfully, but I would soooo love to chuck that puppy in the trash. LOL!

Again, way to go and sweet (mask free) dreams!

(I will do a little no-apnea happy dance for you, too. 😀)

Yeah, but since mine has a heredity basis, they were think8ng of giving my late Daddy Pickwickian Syndome, Uncle Snuffly and I are still steady- dating. I considered trying to ditching him but I do sleep better with him, I wake up multiple times(stop breathing?) a night without him. Besides the look may be the closest I'll ever come to being a Jet Pilot!✈

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
