Terrified I’m going to stretch my pouch

Recommended Posts

I am 5 weeks out, and I know that if I don't stop eating the second I feel full, I feel it, and regret it! Eat slowly, chew until it is almost liquified, and keep your portions under 4 oz. You will do great.

And even we RnY have that worry, that something could happen, especially those that have pouchs that don't complain and take what you put in gratefully. Ms Precious Pouch, maybe she has my personality, I get crabby too at times, but she is still winning the food battles, but I am learning and maybe not the end of the war, but if I follow her lead we do have a truce.

A lot of people have that fear, but it's not very likely to actually stretch. You will lose some restriction as time goes, but that's just how this surgery works. To stretch your pouch, you would have to overeat pretty regularly.

That's a common fear many of us have, I think. But at one week post-op, I was still on a full-liquid diet. There's not a lot of restriction with liquids, so it's easy to feel like you're "eating" more than you should be able to, if that makes sense.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
