Help.. I fell off the wagon. :(

Recommended Posts

I need help... I fell off the wagon... not too terrible but I have gained about 12 lbs. I got pregnant in October and just miscarried about 5 weeks ago and I have been severely depressed and eating things that are not good for me... I haven’t been to the gym or done anything except go to work. I lay in bed all day and sleep. I have recently seeked help for the depression and I finally got out of bed today and went shopping and felt good until I got home.. what can I do to get back to lose the 12 lbs I gained plus more? I’m about 20 months out from surgery... I’m just terrified I will never lose again and keep gaining. Please no negative comments about my poor eating habits. Kicking those to the curb starting now.. thank you.

Lex, I am truly sorry for your loss. You need to allow yourself time to grieve. You've been coping the best you could and no one has any right to judge.

I am glad that you have found some help for your depression. Take this time to focus on recovery and being healthy. Let the 12 pounds be secondary. As you get healthier, they will drop off.

Please take care of yourself and reach out if you'd like to talk.

I’m so sorry Lex! You made such a courageous step in seeking help with your depression. That in combination with coming back here to seek advice shows you are being proactive. I agree, go easy on yourself mentally and give yourself time to grieve and heal. {{{hugs}}}

One day at a time. Back to Protein Drinks 2x a day maybe and 1 meal. Try eliminating your sugar and bad carbs. Be patient with yourself!

      I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
