Trouble with pills

Recommended Posts

On my program you aren't allowed gummies but you can take chewable multi-vitamins.

There are also Patches, liquid like Tespo and and BariMelts. I was getting my B12 by monthly injection from my primary care physician until I got used to all the pills. So you might want to ask your surgeon about these options.

I have found it much easier to take pills with a thick liquid. I use Tomato juice and Protein Shakes work well too.

Yep! my bariatric Vitamins provided are chewables to increase absorption! When I ran out and had not received my second bottle yet I used my son's flinstones! lol

I have just started researching WLS. Hate to admit it but I am not able to swallow pills unless I take them with food. Is it possible to get all your supplements you need in a chewable or in liquid form...and hopefully not taste too awful.
I can't swallow pills either and I get all of my needed nutrition through chewable vitamins (doctor recommended). I also have liquid Calcium that's pretty good. Screenshot_20190228-092536_Chrome.jpeg

For the first two weeks post-op, all my medication and supplements were either liquid form or shots (ugh, so glad that's over with). My doctor approved certain pills once I was on the pureed food stage (smaller, softer ones)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
