Yeah, this liquid diet is horrible. I mean I didn’t get overweight by not wanting to eat lol I can’t wait until this first week is over and I can at least eat the super soft foods like yogurt, oatmeal

I felt like that too even though I could hardly eat a thing...once you get to pureed foods... you'll feel full too fast and probably find yourself having to span your meal for hours to get the protein
Ok, so my doctor said that we would have a hard time even being able to drink as much fluids as we should after surgery. Well that doesn't seem to be a huge issue but my biggest one right now is I am starving! I thought that wouldn't be the case and I am wanting to eat so bad. Right now being in the first week out I am only allowed to have clear liquids like water, broth and I can have some protein shakes. These are not filling me up and tonight has been really bad. I am not one who expects my family not to eat in front of me and tonight was tough not to eat some of the food they were eating. Is this something anyone else had in the beginning? I get it, psychologically I am used to eating and my brain is telling me to eat. I would not have had to have the surgery if I didn't like to eat before and didn't overeat! I just really hope this goes away some once I can start eating some food with consistency?
