I tried searching the site but couldn't get a good answer. I am looking for recommendations on chewable vitamins with Iron. I have been taking the Celebrate Multivitamin Complete with 36mg Iron chewable but I can't get past the taste post op. I asked my NUT and he recommended Centrum chewables with 18 mg of iron. I found some and after I got home and opened them I realized that right above the iron it lists Calcium. below is a link to the ingredients.

During all my pre-op classes and online here, it is ingrained that iron and calcium must be taken separtely. When I questioned my NUT his response was "Calcium in the Multi Vitamins is only minimal - and it will not much affect the iron and the calcium will dissolve quicker than iron once in the stomach".

Anyone have any thoughts on this and/or recommendations for Vitamins if the Centrum is off the list? I actually don't mind the taste but clearly they don't have near the amount of nutrients as the Celebrate Vitamins.

I also take Bariatric fusion which is one of only a few complete Vitamins following Bariatric Surgery. They are priced at $24.99 for a one month supply and you take them four times a day. They are complete at 200% of the daily value plus they have the required Iron and Calcium included in each chewable tablet. Great lab results do far at 8 months post surgery.

I am 5 weeks post op and cannot tolerate the chewable vitamins . My NUT said to go ahead with the pill form of Centrum complete twice a day and one 1200mg calcium citrate one daily . It’s soo much easier ! They’re horse pills but it’s better than that chalky taste .

I don't care for the taste either. I just now finished the last of them and I'm switching to the capsule in the same brand. No more chewables fo me.

I'm only starting week 4, so I have to finish the 2 bottles I bought. I can't wait to try others.

I bought some Centrum chewables from Walmart and seem to be ok. Taste is way better!  Will see at my six month apt how my labs look.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
