How Often to Eat on Purée??

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone! So I’m on the purée stage and was wondering how often I should eat... I have my 2oz cups setup and ready with egg salad, chicken salad, apple sauce.. etc.

I felt weird having my first 2 spoonfuls and stopped because I felt my adrenaline going and got nervous thinking it would come back up!

So anyway.. I’m waiting 30 minutes before I can drink my Water. And then wait another 30 minutes to dig into my 2oz cup again? Is that how you do it?

Thank you everyone!!!!

I ate only one 2 oz item slowly all in one sitting. Then waited to drink 30 min later. I ate 2 oz again 3-4 hours later.

I am on day 4 of puree. The first 3 days i seriously felt like i was over stuffing myself. Today i cut it back to 2 2ounce meals and broke them both into 2.. so 4 times.. but i did it during the day only and am finished.. Only i also added GENEPRO (30g) of Protein to the food.. half scoop in each.. I also had my Protein Shake at some point. I may move the shake to lunch, have a scrambled egg for Breakfast and leave the second course of protein for dinner. I had to try something different because eating 2 ounces at once.. was way too much and i was getting the pressure in the chest.

You need to start establishing good eating patterns that you will take forward into the future. 3 meals a day plus possibly 2 or 3 PLANNED Snacks. Eating constantly will set you up for failure

It is going to be different for everyone. If you are an insulin diabetic you eat every 2 -3 hrs other wise my NUT says 3 hrs. As a T1 diabetic I am hoping to do 21/2 to 3 but we will see soon.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
