Struggling!

Recommended Posts

Well, I've not been on here in a while but I need to see if anyone has been through this before. I just celebrated my 5th year with my lapband and my bananniversary was on Nov.8th 2018. On Nov.9th they Emptied my Band due to a Upper GI infection which cause my ban to be Inflamed causing me problems With even trying to drink Water. December 21st 2018 will be my 1st fill To which I will have to start all over again to find my green zone. It's been a while since I've had to deal with the hunger pains and I know some of it is head hunger , But nevertheless It's still Hunger I'm feeling. If you have been through this And would like to offer some encouragement, advise or tips, I would really appreciate it for I'm really struggling right now.

That's tough man... Sadly there really isn't a way to make the hunger pains go away, typically I'd say just pound the Water, but you said you were having issues with water. Personally, I'm so glad I had the band removed and revised to the bypass, I'd never go back or ever advise anyone to get the band. I hope the refill works for you.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
