Hello I am 3 days post sleeve and I a not handling liquids well. Ga is building up ad I'm so sorry. Any suggestions on a easier way to deal with the healing process?

So sorry you are feeling this way! Are you having nausea? I had nausea real bad. Also at first you may not handle the liquids as well because everything is still swollen and it just needs time to heal. Small sips my friend and nausea meds, and for the gas, for me I took 2 chewable Gas-X tabs along with a bit of walking; that really helped me. The first week can be a bit rough but it starts to get much much better by week 2; for me days 3 and 4 being the worst. That being said, I did still suffer a bit of nausea and gas pain the second week, just knew how to handle it better. I realized that I needed to take my Vitamin only after I had Soup or something in my stomach; I had given up trying to get the Vitamins down for that 1st week. Hang in there and know you may not get your Fluid goal met right at first, just do the best you can. Hugs

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
