I Want a Cheese Enchilada.

Hellooo everyone. I am new here, sleeved Tuesday October 23rd. Will I ever be able to have just 1 single cheese enchilada ever again? This breakup hurts. In between sips of water and protein (BLAAH) drink, I long for a cheese enchilada, and do feel a bit hungry.

One thing I’ve noticed is that I can have half of anything. Half a hot dog, half a McDonalds breakfast sandwich, etc. etc. So, one day, at minimum, you’ll be able to have half an enchilada.

  • Definitely will be able to. The Sausage King of Chicago is right.....it’s all about portion control. Best of luck!

  • And cross my?I'll be at least half-happy!

I ate two of them last night with Anne fajita chicken for dinner. Yummy. :)

Anything in moderation!

That is soooo encouraging THANK YOU!!!! My life is not quite over, haha ;D

I have noticed that after my sleeve in March that I cannot eat cheese and other dairy products. Does a horrible number on my stomach. Plus I now have reflux..... which developed 3 weeks after surgery

@ByeFat, it temporarily is not as CHEESY as it once was but don't MELT under the strain, everything will be SMOOTH someday!?LOL

Here's a bariatric-friendly recipe you could try at home!

One of the things I've been really proactive about doing while I'm still on liquids is trying to find recipes NOW that mimic foods I used to have but are healthier swaps. These are things that my whole family could enjoy in their portion size but at the same time allow me to eat without fear of weight gain. There's lots of great books and websites out there! Spend an hour or two just browsing google and amazon and you're sure to find some awesome stuff.
