December 2018 Sleevers!

  • Popular Post

Hello everyone!

I was approved a few days ago (after only waiting a week) and received my surgery date for December 12, 2018! I chose this date out of the few offered to me because I am currently in college and I will be able to finish up my classes prior to the surgery (which was a huge worry of mine.) It's about two weeks before my birthday too!

Anyone else scheduled out in December?

  • I had my surgery exactly a year before you 12/12/17. Hopefully it's a lucky date. Almost a year out looking back it was an amazing life changing decision. I was just over 300 lbs to start and by June

  • So man. What a day! Surgery went text book according to surgeon. I was on the table for 55min. He told me it was obvious that I had rocked the preop diet, as he could have likely done the surgery with

I'm meeting with my surgeon this morning to review everything. I'm hoping my December 26th date will stick!

Fingers crossed for you! ?

My date used to be December 5th but my insurance company denied me due to Cannibas use. They said I'd have to be off for a year before they'd consider an approval. I said no f**king way and appealed on the grounds that I'm licensed medical marijuana patient. Took about a week due to the holiday before I called and got the decision. Approved. Damn right. My doc got the ball rolling and my new date is January 15. Good luck everyone!
I'm curious. What is the cannibas treating?
Fingers crossed for you! [emoji846]

Thank you! Just left the appointment. The December 26th date continues to stick providing my endoscopy for tomorrow turns out well and that I can get a sleep study done before surgery. I've apnea, but my last study was 2012, so long overdue! Wish me luck!

Amazingly, I've managed to get the sleep study for tomorrow night!

Good luck!

Manic depression, and of course all the aches and pain that come with being morbidly obese. I'm pretty fucked up. Had to partially lie to the shrink during this entire process.

Just had the op last Friday so in recovery mode now. Had a tough day and night after the surgery but was fine then after that. It’s been getting better and better since then. I’m excited now to start utilizing the sleeve to see what it can do.

Hey Irish- I was feeling exactly the same way and lost focus. I took a gulp of water and regretted it about 10 seconds later. Luckily i kept it down, but it was a painful reminder. But, i am happy that i am slowly learning the signs.

Watch out for day 3/4 on liquids I thought I was having a stroke but it was just the come down off of sugar it goes away fight through it. Maybe warn people around you..

Wish my last meal was memorable. Took forever to put my kiddo down so it ended up being Raman noodles lol
