Hello everyone!

I was approved a few days ago (after only waiting a week) and received my surgery date for December 12, 2018! I chose this date out of the few offered to me because I am currently in college and I will be able to finish up my classes prior to the surgery (which was a huge worry of mine.) It's about two weeks before my birthday too!

Anyone else scheduled out in December?

Surgery on Friday, been prepping for this for 9 months and today I have a sore throat!!! Praying it goes away fast! ?

I had a sore throat too!! I drank a lot of emergenC and tea! Cough drops helped too. Good luck!!

Just had the op last Friday so in recovery mode now. Had a tough day and night after the surgery but was fine then after that. It’s been getting better and better since then. I’m excited now to start utilizing the sleeve to see what it can do.

Mine is scheduled for December 12th as well!!! Not sure if sleeve or bypass yet though. I have scheduled sleeve but tomorrow I have a Esophageal motility study and Esophageal pH monitoring and according with the results my doctor and I will decide if sleeve or bypass.

Saturday was hard for me. We had a gathering, which I planned, because I didn't want to have a party at any point in time after this surgery this month. Nevertheless, there was all of this delicious smelling food (I REALLY wanted the chicken my husband grilled) and I could not have a morsel. Everyone raved about how delicious the chicken was! I made it through. It was do hard. ?Please get here quickly Thursday! How is everyone else fairing?

I'm meeting with my surgeon this morning to review everything. I'm hoping my December 26th date will stick!

My date used to be December 5th but my insurance company denied me due to Cannibas use. They said I'd have to be off for a year before they'd consider an approval. I said no f**king way and appealed on the grounds that I'm licensed medical marijuana patient. Took about a week due to the holiday before I called and got the decision. Approved. Damn right. My doc got the ball rolling and my new date is January 15. Good luck everyone!

8 days till I’m sleeved woohoo. Tomorrow I have to have an upper GI. Has anyone had this? How did you feel after?
