Hi, I've been struggling in my adult life with my weight since the birth of my only child. I had the lapband done, which was a waste of money, it did nothing for me. My new doctor only recommended the bypass because he didn't want to set me up for any failures. I was nervous and scared but I did it a year ago and I don't regret it. I lost over 80 pounds (I could have lost more if stayed on track) and still losing.

Thank you Frustr8... did I forget to say that I'm 55yrs old? [emoji4]. My son and granddaughters are all skinny minies! The surgery went well, I'm just in a great deal of pain. Once I'm better, I'll post post-op info. Jacie63

My bypass is today! I can't sleep, I'm so nervous. I'm rethinking things, if I could have done something different to get this weight off, but no matter what I try, my weight keeps going up. I was small in my early years, about 135. After I had my son, everything just went off track, I'm now almost 300lbs! This is my last chance to get healthy. Please pray for me guys, that I get thru this surgery. Thank you. Jacie63

That's exactly what my doctor told me! I am doing a revision from Band to Bypass. He will not do a sleeve on me. He said, "I will not set you up for failure again."My surgery is on Dec. 12th. Jacie63
