I guess I’m regretting a little...

Today marks two weeks since my surgery. Since August 21 till probably the 28th lost 14 pounds. More like water weight. After that I have just been at the same weight and it has not even been two weeks. I know it has only been a short time but I feel like this is telling me, I should not have done it. I guess I need some encouraging words now. Thank you everyone

  • Ugh. While I do sympathize and validate the feelings expressed here, someone has just GOT to talk about the elephant in the living room with the pink tutu on! Reality check here guys...your brain

  • Thank you all for the reality check. I know and have read about the stalls. But I know we have each other so we can vent too. And that’s what I’m doing. I just need to snap out of it and know 14 pound

Reality is you are not going to lose a pound of weight a day for very long. Many times the regret comes from the realization that you are physically incapable of using food to cope with emotions

So well said FLUFFY562?! My surgery is Monday! It helps reading all the comments. I really I to put mind on the positive and not the negative.
You al will do great.. the ones with remorse will do just fine. 9 weeks out and 44 pounds down!!!! I weigh once a week and I week a 2 week span because I knew I was PMSing.. it’s a tool and it all will work out.. I measure myself as well.. you may be losing inches and not weight.. lost 6 inches off my back already... work the program and you will be fine!!!
Hang in there, I lost 20lbs in my first two weeks, then nothing for the rest of the month and even saw a little gain, I do alright with eating when it’s something I don’t really care for like yogurt or soup, but when I cook something that I enjoy and that tastes good I always eat to quickly and then my stomach punishes me later, so I’m just not really interested in food anymore because it causes pain, I also realized I wasn’t being as active as I needed to be, I’m now 7 weeks out and according to my scale am down 70lbs, I weighed 262 the day I went in for surgery and now my scale says 190, so hang in there, your body needs time to adjust because it’s still in shock

Oh, that was a loooong one. Feels great on the other side, though, right? Remember the feeling. There will be more. Just breathe through it and keep doing your part of the job. Best wishes!
