  4. The explanation of benefits I got from BCBS... specifically stated I needed 6 months of Medically supervised weight loss attempts. Luckily for me, I had seen a doctor for non surgical weight loss and made the requirement. If your working with your doctor now....you almost there...just a little hiccup. Good luck!

  18. Thank you for all the responses, my doctor clearly spelled out the expectations. I am not sure if I was clear or not when I posted but I don't expect this to be magic, my 20 lbs loss I attribute to being dehydrated as well. There is no pink elephant in my room. I just wanted to let another newbie know that they are not alone and I am feeling the same way.

  20. Thank you for your response; Yes I do believe I am losing inches and it does not show on scale. I just started with dry mouth and know I am headed in the wrong direction so I am drinking, drinking and drinking. Not eliminating much but it is now pale yellow instead of sinking copper! I see MD in one day hoping I can get control of this dehydration thing before I have to go to ER.
  21. I feel the same way! Aug 21 and down 20 lbs and holding. Now I am fighting with dehydration! Ugh
  22. Hello, BCBS didn't want to approve because they are a new insurance company and I had United Health when I went to another weight loss doctor but I submitted all the other insurance information to them. They tried saying it had to be within this year under there plan and I fought back because it only said 6 months within 2 years.....doesn't say anything about which insurance company. Lol but my interview with my BCBS caseworker "nurse" told me at the end of our conversation that my surgery would be approved. Hope that helps. Dee
  23. I also take pepsid every 12 hours as well but the meds for the muscle spasms help so much more.

  25. I as well am about the same time frame out and experienced the same thing. Today I actually finally started feeling better. Big difference for me was making sure I do not eat 30 minutes after I drink and then don't drink for 30 minutes after I eat. Md also gave me mess to help prevent muscle spasms which is a life saver.
  26. Bcbs was going to deny mine at first because they wanted 6 month working with a medically supervised program. A case manager aka, nurse from bcbs called me and do asked me tons of questions to see if I aqually had all the knowledge I needed to be sucessful. She ultimately approved my previous authorization. I did work with a medically supervised program for 6 consecutive months within 2 years which is what they are looking for. Call bcbs and have them sent email the actually prerequisite to you. Dee
  27. I had my surgery Aug 21 st. Had really bad heartburn. Doc has me on hyoscyamine 0.125 MG every 6 hours. Helps relieve muscle spasms.
